SUMMER READING PROGRAM
The Summer Reading Club is organized by the librarian during the summer months. Many children between the ages of four and thirteen years of age participate and improve their reading abilities while having fun. Numerous prizes are given throughout the summer. The librarian and the members of the council are very grateful for the support of businesses and individuals who help to make the Summer Reading Program a fun and rewarding event for the children.
Once a week, volunteers bring boxes of books to the Villa Youville as a service to senior residents in our community.
INTERLIBRARY LOANS (ILL)
If we don’t have the books you are looking for in our collection, our library offers interlibrary loan service. The librarian searches the Manitoba Libraries catalogue and when the book is located, a request for it is placed and the book is then sent to our library.
LARGE PRINT BOOKS
Our library has a collection of large print books and also books on rotation from Public Library Services (PLS).
The library also subscribes to many magazines and periodicals to serve the interests of adults, children and teens.
The library accepts donations of recent books but we reserve the right to include them in our collection or use them for our yearly book sale. All monetary donations are welcome. A tax receipt will be given for donations of $20 or more.
